Sponge iron maker Monnet Ispat today reported a marginal decline in net profit at Rs 33.50 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 33.66 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
Total income rose to Rs 400.08 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 288.19 crore in the corresponding year-ago period.
Shares of the company dropped 2.68 per cent to close at Rs 139.55 on the BSE.
