Sudhir Bassi, managing director, Morgan Stanley India and head of corporate finance (Mumbai), has joined Khaitan & Co as an executive director for its capital markets practice. Bassi who has more than two decades of experience in capital markets worked with PNB’s capital services and JM Financial.
In last couple of months, Morgan Stanley India has seen a handful of senior level exits. According to repoprts, PJ Nayak, country head of Morgan Stanley, is also leaving the bank. Two months ago, Morgan Stanley's Chief Operating Officer in India, Nina Nagpal had also put in her papers.
The Mumbai-based Khaitan & Co, which is on an expansion spree, hired Sidharth Shah and Bijal Ajinkya as partners from Nishith Desai & Associates for its Mumbai office.
