Mumbai-based entertainment company Baba Arts Limited has signed an agreement with optical disc manufacturer Moser Baer. |
Under the agreement, Moser Baer will exclusively manufacture, market and distribute VCDs and DVDs of 450 Telugu titles of Baba Arts in the Indian market for a period of eight years. |
"The Telugu video market is very buoyant and growing fast. Seeing the market potential of the titles and Moser Baer's manufacturing capabilities and marketing skills, we have gone in for this tie-up," Gordhan Tanwani, chairman and managing director of Baba Arts, stated in a press release here on Wednesday. |
Baba Arts had entered into the space of Telugu titles in home entertainment in 2006. Some of its leading titles include Bhakta Prahlad, Bhakta Tukaram, Illarikam, Dil, 10th Class, Manasantha Nuvve, Veede, Bobby, Bombai Priyudu, Varsham and Chennakesava Reddy. |
The company has also forayed into the South Indian film industry and produced a Tamil film Nenjirukkum Varai, which was released on December 15, 2006. Its Hindi movie Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee, directed by Vikram Bhatt, is slated for a March 2007 release. |
