Moser signs deal with Palador

Optical storage manufacturer Moser Baer is now looking at the premium DVD market with plans to sell world cinema titles at Rs 399.

It has signed a deal with entertainment company Palador Pictures to sell and distribute 50 foreign language films in DVD format through its 2,000 key retail outlets across the country.

Six months ago, it had priced its DVDs at Rs 34 and VCDs at Rs 28 following a similar price cut by other companies like T-Series.

Palador Pictures has rights for nearly 1,000 titiels including Akira Kurosawa
