Mother Diary has hiked price of all its milk variants by Rs 2 per litre due to increase in procurement cost. The increase will be effective from midnight tonight and will be applicable in Delhi and NCR.
"The company is compelled to raise the retail prices because of the ongoing rise in prices of raw milk in the last few months," a statement said.
It said that Mother Dairy has always attempted to strike a balance between the consumers’ interest and the milk producers’ interest. The Cooperative claimed that it passes on almost 80 per cent of the total sales proceed towards the procurement on milk. Mother Diary is one of the largest supplier of milk in the National Capital.
