Auto component maker Motherson Sumi Systems today reported an over five-fold increase in its consolidate profit after tax at Rs 59.55 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 11.05 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, Motherson Sumi Systems said in a statement.
The total consolidated sales of the company jumped by 32.38 per cent to Rs 1,858.63 crore from Rs 1,404.04 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
Motherson Sumi Systems, the automotive rearview mirror manufacturer, is the flagship company of the Samvardhana Motherson Group and is a joint venture between the group and Japan-based Sumitomo Wiring Systems.
