A delegation of senior ministers from Mozambique has sought Indian investment and expertise to develop tea industry in their country. "Mozambique tea has lost its position in international market for not being able to adapt itself to the requirements of the market," Mozambique Minister of Agriculture Jose Pachecho said during a meeting with key stakeholders of Indian tea industry here yesterday.
The key challenges facing the tea industry in Mozambique are low productivity, low quality and the need to increase demand, he said.
"To this end, we are seeking help and cooperation from Indian tea industry to share their expertise, so that Mozambique tea can realise its full potential," he added.
