MphasiS Q4 net up 30% to Rs 45 crore
 
The MphasiS Group posted a 30 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 45.6 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The consolidated revenue at Rs 337 crore in the fourth quarter increased by 35 per cent over the corresponding quarter in 2005-06. Sequentially, the net profit of the company in the fourth quarter rose by 27 per cent and revenue grew by 10 per cent.For the full year 2006-07, the group recorded a revenue of Rs 1,196 crore, registering a growth of 27 per cent over the previous year. The net profit for FY 07 fell 20 per cent to Rs 120 crore.
 
Global Broadcast News PAT at Rs 2.78 cr
 
Riding high on increased advertising revenue, Global Broadcast News (GBN), broadcasters of CNN-IBN, the 24-hour English language news and current affairs channel, today announced a profit after tax of Rs 2.78 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. This is the first quarter for GBN, which was listed at both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange on February 8, post its IPO in January-February. GBN also recorded a gross revenue of Rs 29.06 crore for the quarter and an EBIDTA of Rs 6 crore. CNN-IBN was launched fifteen months ago.
 
Geometric Software net at Rs 10.47 cr
 
Geometric Software Solutions posted a marginal decline in its consolidated net profit after minority interest at Rs 10.47 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared with Rs 10.67 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. The company's total income increased from Rs 67.84 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 130.61 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, a 92.5 per cent y-o-y increase. For the full year, the group posted a net profit after minority interest at Rs 37.44 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 compared with Rs 25.79 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
