MTNL Q2 net down 25.5%

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam(MTNL) today reported a 25.53% decrease in net profit at Rs 121.02 crore for the second quarter ended September 2006 as compared to Rs 162.53 crore in Q2FY06.

According to the release issued by the company to the BSE, total income also went down by 4.65% at Rs 1,376.76 crore as against Rs 1,444.05 crore in Q2FY06.
