State-tun telecom company MTNL today widened its net loss to Rs 929.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
In the corresponding period last year, the loss was Rs 671.04 crore in the, MTNL said in a filing to the BSE.
The total income also dipped about eight% to Rs 874.76 crore in the reported quarter from Rs 951.22 crore in the October-December quarter of 2011.
During the quarter, MTNL's revenues from basic services stood at Rs 678.27 crore, while that from cellular services was Rs 180.94 crore.
MTNL has over nine million mobile and wireline subscribers and offers services in two circles— Delhi and Mumbai.
The company's scrip closed at Rs 29.25 on the BSE, up 0.17% from the previous close.
