A K Rathi , managing director, MTS grp India said, "The company has launched this SPHP technology in Chennai only second in India after launching this technology in Bangalore yesterday.
Tamil Nadu is the third largest consumer of water heater after Maharashtra and Karnataka". MTS India, a subsidiary of MTS SpA, Italy and has a 27 per cent share in Indian water heater market.
MTS India has 4 lakh water heaters this year out of the the total 1.5 million water heater sold in the country.
SPHP will be using mild steel instead of stainless steel for in its new product because of its corrosion resistance property and compatibility for use in high rise buildings.
