Mudra India CEO Jude Fernandes quits

Jude Fernandes, executive director, Mudra Group and chief executive officer, Mudra India, has resigned, ending his two-decade association with the company.

Fernandes, who joined the branding and communications agency in the early 90s, would serve his notice period until September 30.

According to people close to the development, the news first surfaced a week ago. It is, however, not known whether he would join another agency or move on to the client’s side. Despite repeated attempts, Fernandes could not be contacted.

During his stint at Mudra India, Fernandes handled brands from personal care products to services like telecom and insurance. He was also involved with launches of Max Touch Cellular, Godrej Fair Glow, Reliance India Mobile and others.

He began his career with Lintas in Kolkata, working on Lipton, Berger Paints, Reckitt and Colman and Shaw Wallace. Later he moved to Clarion, working first in Bombay and then moving on to handle their Madras operations.
