Ambani, who flew in this morning from Mumbai, started a series of meetings with the ministers and top bureaucrats presumably to explain that WPT lack any economic logic.
There are reports that Ambani has also met UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi but no confirmation could be obtained.
Officials of RIL declined to comment on Ambani's movements in Delhi.
The Ambani visit to Delhi assumes importance in the wake of Amar Singh, perceived to be a close friend of Anil Ambani, opening a front against RIL.
In a recent interview, Singh had said RIL's opposition to Anil Ambani Group's negotiation with MTN for a deal was "disgusting" and had suggested that Prime Minister should intervene and bring about a rapprochement among warning Ambani brothers.
