Auto component maker Munjal Auto today posted an over two-fold jump in its net profit to Rs 10.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as compared to the same period previous fiscal.
The company had a net profit of Rs 4.74 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2010, Munjal Auto said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
During the quarter under review, the firm's net sales increased an over two-fold jump to Rs 156.89 crore from Rs 73.26 crore in the year-ago period.
For the year-ended March 31, 2011, the company's net profit stood at Rs 25.22 crore, up 59.7% as compared to Rs 15.79 crore recorded in the previous financial year.
During the period the firm had a net sales of Rs 519.83 crore, a 78.8% jump from Rs 290.71 crore posted in the year ended March, 31, 2010.
Shares of Munjal Auto closed at Rs 119.15 on the BSE, up 0.76% from the previous close.
