E-commerce player Myntra.com has launched an in-house application 'Style studio', a virtual dressing room aimed at making online shopping more interactive for shoppers.

Myntra.com joined the league of e-commerce players such as Zovi.com, Lenskart.com and Kingschest.com, which have already introduced this feature.

Through this style studio, customers are able to click pictures of themselves using web-camera, click on a product they want to try and see how it looks on them before making a purchase decision. Myntra’s ‘Style Studio’ will enable customers to mix and match over 2000 products using the virtual dressing room.

It also enables the customers to share their look among their friends using social media like Facebook and Twitter.

"Along with shopping, customers are also logging on to Myntra to seek advice on how to put products together to create a complete look. We are also working on to give product suggestions and tips on the latest fashion trends in future," Mukesh Bansal, founder and chief executive officer of Myntra, said.

Style Studio, built on the HTML 5 instead of Flash to enhance compatibility across devices, is a part of Myntra's 'Style zone' - a one stop shop for all its fashion properties including ‘Star N Style’ which brings celebrity youth icons to build a connect with customers.
