Nagarjuna Construction net up 4% at Rs 44 cr

Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) has registered a net profit of Rs 43.92 crore for the second quarter ended September, up nearly four per cent compared to Rs 42.30 crore of the corresponding period a year ago.

Total income of the construction firm rose to Rs 1,067.03 crore in the latest quarter of the current financial year from Rs 1,055.82 crore of the same quarter a year earlier, NCC said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today.

For the half-year ended September 30, 2009, the Hyderabad based company posted a net profit of Rs 82.14 crore, up 3 per cent as against Rs 79.38 crore of the same period last year.
