The promoters' stake in Nagarjuna Construction has increased to 24.16 per cent of the total equity of the company.
The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange today.
A V S R Holdings Pvt Ltd, an investment company belonging to the promoters group has acquired a little less than 1.2 million equity shares during the last week through purchases from the open market.
The shares were of Rs 2 each of the company in the aggregate which is equivalent to 0.52 per cent of the paid up capital.
As on 30 June, 2008, the promoters' stake was 22.46 per cent.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company's shares tumbled on Tuesday by 8.19 per cent to close at Rs 54.95.
