S S Mahapatra, Director (production), National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco), has been elected as member of the managing committee and vice-chairman of standing committee for non-ferrous mineral industries of Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI). FIMI which came into existence in 1966, is now a 350-member body, representing the entire non-fuel mining and mineral processing activities of the country.
New Duronto train between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad
As per the announcement made in the Railway Budget for 2012-13, the Railways have decided to introduce a new tri-weekly Duronto express train between Visakhapatnam & Secunderabad with effect from from July 11. On the inaugural run, Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam tri-weekly AC Duronto express will be inaugurated from Secunderabad station and will run as a special train towards Visakhapatnam. However, the regular service of 22203/22204 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Duronto express will commence from Visakhapatnam from July 12 and from Secunderabad on July 14.
