Nalco FY05 net spurts 66%

National Aluminium Company (NALCO) has reported a 66% spurt in net profit to Rs 1222.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 737.37 crore last year. Total income (net of excise) has increased 31% from Rs 3324.84 crore in FY-04 to Rs 4365.51 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to a release issued by NALCO to the BSE, the company has posted a 59% jump in its unaudited net profit after tax to Rs 421.83 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 264.77 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 1032.43 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 1334.95 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.
