Nalco FY06 net up 27%

National Aluminium Company (Nalco) today posted a 27% increase in net profit at Rs 1,564.65 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 1,234.84 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05).

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 5,116.25 crore in FY06 from Rs 4,374.60 crore in FY05.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 608.02 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006 as against Rs 434.24 crore in Q4FY06. Total income increased to Rs 1,623.18 crore in Q4FY06 from Rs 1,344.04 crore in Q4FY05.
