Navaratna PSU National Aluminum Company (Nalco) has posted 32 per cent growth in net profit in the first quarter of the current financial year ended June 30 at Rs 377 crore, as against Rs 284 crore recorded in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
The rise in net profit was on the back of higher alumina exports, the company said in a release. The alumina exports jumped to 183,000 tonne in the first quarter, almost double compared to the same period of 2010-11.
