NCC Q2 net loss at Rs 10 cr

Turnover grew 4% to Rs 1,707 cr

Hyderabad-based engineering and construction company, NCC Limited, reported a net loss of Rs 10.19 crore for the second quarter ended September 2013. The company posted a net profit of Rs 11.35 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Turnover stood at Rs 1,706.79 crore during the quarter under review, as compared with Rs 1,639.19 crore during the same period a year ago, registering a growth of 4.12%.

For the half-year ended September 2013, NCC’s net loss was at Rs 4.39 crore, as against a net profit of Rs 31.69 crore. Its turnover declined 3.18% to Rs 3,345.67 crore during the first six months of the current financial year, as compared with Rs 3,455.71 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
 

In the current year, NCC has so far secured orders aggregating Rs 4,744 crore. As at the end of the September quarter, its order book stood at Rs 20,247 crore, the company said in a release on Tuesday.

NCC Limited’s scrip ended the trade at Rs 25 on the BSE on Tuesday, down 0.40%, over the previous close of Rs 25.10 a share.
