NDS to invest more in R&D in India

Digital pay-TV technology solutions provider will consolidate its presence in India

"India has a huge potential market with lot of expectations for new technology especially in convergence in mobile services. There is also huge demand for digital video recorder (DVR). Our programme in India is to expand Research and Development," NDS' Vice President and General Manager (Asia pacific) Sue Taylor said.

"NDS has already established an R&D centre in Bangalore with 900 people working and we will have a new building coming up to increase our human resources for research and development activities to cater to the global market," Taylor told PTI from Hong Kong.

 

NDS will also invest in expanding its two offices in Mumbai and Delhi for sales, support and recruiting human resource, she said.

NDS, she said, was seriously working on products with low cost entry points
