NDTV's loss for the quarter ended June 30 increased from Rs 24 crore in FY16 to Rs 38 crore in FY17, despite revenues for NDTV 24x7 — the group's English news channel — and NDTV Profit/Prime — the hybrid business and entertainment channel — increasing 10 and 21 per cent, respectively.
Revenues for the group decreased 8 per cent from Rs 125 crore in the first quarter (Q1) of the financial year (FY) 2015-16 to Rs 115 crore in the Q1 of FY 2016-17. Consequently, EBITDA loss increased from Rs 15 crore to Rs 27 crore year-on-year.
