Nectar Life, Orient & Petronet Q1 results

Nectar Life PAT up 22%
 
Nectar LifeSciences reported a 22 % increase in profit after tax for the quarter ended June, 2005, against the corresponding period last fiscal.
 
The PAT stood at Rs 7.16 crore for the quarter ended June against Rs 5.86 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, a company release said.
 
Orient net up to Rs 4.4 cr
 
Orient Paper and Industries Ltd. has reported an increase of 25 per cent in its turnover of quarter ended 30 June to Rs 200 crore from Rs 160 crore last year.
 
The company is part of the GP-CK Birla group with interests in paper, cement and electric fans. The company's net profit grew substantially in the period to Rs 4.40 crore from Rs 12 lakh last year.
 
Petronet in the black
 
Petronet LNG has reported its first profit of Rs 39.13 crore during the April-June quarter of the current financial year. The company had made a loss of Rs 19.57 crore during the same period last year. Its net sales stood a Rs 921.24 crore during the three months against Rs 388.37 crore during the first quarter of 2004-05.
