Nestle, BEL, Oil India, Arvind & Opto Circuits Q2 results

FMCG company Nestle India posted a standalone net profit of Rs 182.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as compared to Rs 131.8 crore registered during the same period last financial year, a rise of 38.7 per cent. Its turnover rose to Rs 1,302.2 crore, a 17.6 per cent increase over the Rs 1,115.8 crore posted during the same period last year.

BEL net up 91.8% at Rs 237.3 cr

Bangalore-based Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) reported a 91.8 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 237.3 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with the corresponding quarter last year.

 

Oil India net up 0.79%

Oil India said its net profit rose by 0.79 per cent to Rs 722.6 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2009. Total operating income, however, declined to Rs 2,143.07 crore in the July-September quarter from Rs 2,194.14 crore in the same period last year, Oil India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Arvind Ltd profits surge 89%

Arvind Ltd, one of the largest integrated textile units, registered a 89.2 per cent rise to Rs 15.19 crore in net profit for the second quarter ended September as against the corresponding period in 2008.

Opto Circuits net up 18%

Bangalore-based Opto Circuits (India) Ltd, a provider of medical devices, reported an 18 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 66.9 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, compared with the corresponding quarter last year. Sales income also grew by 18 per cent to Rs 255.7 crore compared with the same period last year.
