Packaged food maker Nestle India today said its net profit rose by 38.70 per cent to Rs 182.76 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, over the same period last year.
Total income increased to Rs 1,311 crore for the quarter ended September, against Rs 1,115.7 crore in the same period last fiscal, Nestle India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The board has proposed a second interim dividend of Rs 27 per equity share for 2009, the filing added.
Shares of Nestle India today settled at Rs 2,573.45 on the BSE, up 1.59 per cent from its previous close.
