Kingfisher today launched its new flight connecting Indore, the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh, with Kolkata via Raipur. |
This will be the first flight that will connect Chhattisgarh capital with any city of its parent state""Madhya Pradesh. |
According to the flight schedule announced by the company, the aircraft will take off from Indore at 4pm and will land in Raipur at 5.30pm. |
It will fly from Raipur at 6.20pm and will touch down in Kolkata at 8.20pm. |
The return flight will take off from Kolkata at 11.10am and will reach Raipur at 1.10pm. |
From Raipur, it will take off at 1.40pm and will land in Indore at 2.30pm. |
The ATR-75 category aircraft has a capacity of 60 passengers. |
"The flight has been successful right from the first day. The Indore-Raipur flight was in demand for last long time as traders associated with steel industries, garments and pharmaceutical need the service," Kirti Vyas of a travel agency said. |
Though there were some seats available for the evening flight to Kolkata, the one that left for Indore in the afternoon was full, Vyas said. |

Kingfisher would be the second private airline to operate in the Raipur-Kolkata sector. Air Deccan recently replaced its Raipur-Ranchi-Kolkata flight with a new one connecting Delhi and Kolkata via Raipur. |
The Deccan flight also flies in the evening hours. |
