Indian vendors, who have only been able to scratch the surface and tap a market share of 2 per cent of the global information technology (IT) services market, may do well in tapping new service lines if they want to capture a 4.6 per cent market share of the worldwide IT services market by 2008.
In the IT-enabled services (ITES) segment too, India now has a market share of 2 per cent.
It will have to target new service lines like engineering/R&D, logistics and sales to capture a share of 4.8 per cent by 2008.
