Neyveli Lignite Q4 net up 8%

Neyveli Lignite has has posted a 8% increase in net profit at Rs 500.57 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 459.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income increased from Rs 1121.8 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 1264.95 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

As per the audited results for the year ended March 31, 2005, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 1215 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 1143.51 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004. Total income increased from Rs 3473.54 crore in FY-04 to Rs 3646.78 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of 14% in addition to the interim dividend of 6% already paid.
