NorthGate Arinso Human Resources (NGA HR), a UK-based HR business process outsourcing and payroll services company, is expanding its manpower across its HR delivery centres in Hyderabad and Kochi so as to support local and regional operations and create additional capacity to service customers.
While the Hyderabad delivery centre will be ramped up from the present 400 employees to 500 by 2015, the company has recently added 520 professional to the existing 585, taking the total headcount to 1,050 in Kochi.
“We believe that both Hyderabad and Kochi provide an optimum mix of talent and resources, besides offering the right IT infrastructure to support our clients,” Adel Al-Saleh, chief executive officer of NGA HR, told mediapersons on Tuesday.

According to NGA HR, the Kochi centre serves close to 4,000 clients (with a majority of them being SMBs) covering 600,000 employees, while the Hyderabad centre caters to the requirements of around 27 large clients (650,000 employees).
Since its foray into India in 2005, NGA HR has thus far invested around Rs 58 crore in the Hyderabad centre, which also offers testing, application maintenance and support to customers, and a little over Rs 50 crore in Kochi. Today, almost 15 per cent of the 600 million pound (or around $1 billion) company’s global workforce work out of its India centres.
Stating that zeroing in on Hyderabad had been a conscious decision to make it their technology hub, Al-Saleh said the centre had a healthy women employee ratio of 23 per cent. “We expect at least half-a-million pound investments to be infused into our Hyderabad centre every year,” he said.
Al-Saleh said that the contributions from the Indian market to the company’s overall revenues had been minimal. “The next stage of our growth will be driven by India as we will soon start serving India-headquartered companies,” he said.
