Nicholas Piramal net at Rs 37.59 cr
 
Nicholas Piramal India (NPIL) has recorded a net profit of Rs 37.59 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006 compared with a net loss of Rs 12.48 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
 
The company posted a growth of 57.3 per cent in net sales for the fourth quarter at Rs 336.19 crore as against Rs 227.5 crore of the comparable quarter in the previous year.
 
For the year ended 31 March 2006, Nicholas Piramal's net profit marginally grew to Rs 170.35 crore from Rs 169.57 crore of the previous year.
 
The company posted a growth of 40.86 per cent in gross profit at Rs 245.24 crore during the year as compared with Rs 174.09 crore.
 
Patel Engg net up 103% to Rs 21.23 cr
 
Patel Engineering has reported 103 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 21.23 crore for the quarter ended March 2006 from Rs 10.45 crore recorded in the year-ago period.
 
The company has reported net sales of Rs 301.36 crore, up 32.04 per cent compared with Rs 228.23 crore in the previous corresponding quarter.
