Nikon India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japanese digital imaging solutions provider Nikon, hopes to increase its market share in the compact segment from the present 7 per cent to 13 per cent by the end of this financial year on the back of the sales network," according to Hiroshi Takashina, general manager (imaging division).
“We anticipate a lot of growth in the D-SLR (digital single lens reflex) professional camera segment and expect to achieve 45 per cent share from the present 30 per cent by March this year,” he said.
