Nirlep Appliances, formerly Duraware Pvt Ltd, is planning to increase the capacity of its Aurangabad plant by 20 per cent from the current 1.5 million units per annum. The expansion was expected to be completed by June, said Mukund Bhogale, managing director.

The capacity hike is in tune with the company's focus on exports. The company also plans to enter Africa and the Middle East by 2007.

"At present, we are operating in Europe, UK and Russia. Exports form about 20 per cent of our total revenue. We plan to increase this to 25 per cent this year. We have also planned to unveil a new range of cookware products," Bhogale added.

Apart from its household customers, Nirlep is also catering to various companies such as TVS Suzuki, Reliance Industries, Taj Hotels, Glaxo Smithkline, Bennett & Coleman, Godrej, Hindustan Lever, Pepsi, Coca Cola etc.

The company has recently introduced a 'Value for Money' solution for the corporate sector. "The corporate sector will get the benefit of the scheme at a starting price of Rs 100," said Bhogale.
