Japanese carmaker Nissan India on Thursday cut prices of its mid-sized sedan Sunny in India by up to Rs 1.99 lakh after better localisation reduced cost of production.
The car will now be offered at a very attractive starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and new price range is effective across India, a statement said.
"The car is our flagship sedan make at our Oragadam plant in Chennai. Local production of this car enabled significantly lower costs and this helped serve our customers faster with quality products. We are passing on these benefits to our customers," carmaker's Managing Director Arun Malhotra said.
