NLC inaugurates Rs 23 cr mixed emulsion plant

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has inaugurated Mixed emulsion plant at Mine-II premises on Sunday. The Rs 23 crore plant was inaugurated by A R Ansari, chairman and managing director, NLC.

Speaking on the occasion Ansari said that with the commissioning of the plant, there would be no stock out problem of explosives as the required material could be prepared at site and could be made available for use on demand.

He further added by optimising the blasting in the mines, the capital intrinsic equipments could well be maintained. The plant was set up by Premier Explosives and can produce 2.5 tonnes per hour.

 

Ansari added, this type of explosive is eco friendly and that the chemicals which are stored at plant would become an explosive only when it gets mixed while delivering inside the blast hole. Also it involves no manual handling of explosives thereby cent per cent safety in handling the materials is ensured.
