NMDC Limited and Larsen & Toubro Limited signed a Rs 356.85-crore contract on Friday for constructing a reservoir as well as a water treatment plant and distribution network for the the company’s upcoming steel plant at Nagarnar in Chhattishgarh.
The public sector miner also signed a separate contract for a value of Rs 314.58 crore with a consortium of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited for construction of an intake well on river Sabari and a cross country pipeline of a length of 34 km for the steel project, according to a press release.
All the awarded works in respect of the 3 million tonne- integrated steel plant were being taken up on a war footing , the company said.
