No deal has been signed between Air Sahara and Jet Airways, but discussions are on for a strategic alliance between the two private carriers. "No deal has been signed with Jet Airways," Alok Sharma, vice president of Air Sahara, said today. Asked about the strategic alliance, Sharma said he would not like to divulge any futher details. "Every airline needs to gow fast. We have looked at many opportunities and within this pursuit, we are talking to Jet for a stratgeic relationship for a better tomorrow," he added. Saroj Datta, executive director of Jet Airways, also confirmed that no deal had been signed between the two carriers. Industry sources said the issue of strategic alliance with Air Sahara will come up at the board meeting of Jet, which is likely to be held at the end of the month. |
