India's largest information technology services provider, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), believes so far there has been no major impact of the $940 million fine notice slapped by a US federal jury.
Asked if the jury verdict had impacted business and if they are reaching out to clients, N Chandrasekaran, chief executive officer and managing director, said, "We will deal with the situation. We are in touch with people whom we should be, and we don't see any major issue." On April 16, a federal jury in the US, in a trade secret lawsuit filed by US-based Epic Systems, slapped a fine notice of $940 million on TCS. The final judgement is yet to come. The verdict, which came as surprise to the company, did not have much impact on the company's stock performance for the day.
