Paytm a mobile shopping application that allows users "to bargain for a deal before purchase"

Now a mobile commerce service that allows you to bargain with the retailers before you purchase.
 
Paytm, which is known for its mobile and DTH recharge facilities, on Wednesday, launched a mobile shopping application that allows users “to bargain for a deal before purchase”. The application will provide real “over the counter” human shopping experience using a text messenger, the company said.
 
The company has tied up with 250 merchants, including Yebhi, Fastcry, Chroma Retail, in India, and plans to spend about Rs 100 crore to market the service in the first phase, said Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO of Paytm.
 
 
The shopping application also has an pre-paid payment option — Paytm Cash Wallet that allows users to add cash from your bank/credit card and shop much faster on the mobile phone. Users can also get cash back or refund from a merchant in Paytm Cash Wallet which can be used for further purchases.
 
The Paytm Shopping app has various categories including Men, Women, Kids fashion and Home furnishing along with Mobile & DTH recharge options (which were already available on Paytm). It claims to have more than 1 lakh items from 250 merchants in Men, Women, Kids fashion and Home Furnishing categories.
 
The company is aiming to process one million orders per day, said Sharma. The mobile commerce industry is expected to become $12 billion by 2020, of which about $4 billion would be non-travel category, according to industry estimates.
