NTPC CMD Jain's tenure extended

C. P. Jain, chairman and managing director of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), has been granted an extension of tenure by the government.

According to a release issued by NTPC to the NSE today, the central government has extended the tenure of Jain till further orders. "Jain wasscheduled to retire on March 31, 2006," the release added.
