NTPC FY05 net up marginally at Rs 5,292cr

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) today reported a marginal rise in net profit at Rs 5,292 crore in 2004-05 when compared with Rs 5,260 crore in 2003-04.

Revenue from sale of electricity stood at Rs 22,199 crore during the fiscal
gone by as against Rs 18,851 crore in 2003-04, an official release said today.

C P Jain, chairman of NTPC, said the company added 2000 MW during 2004-05 taking its total capacity to 23,749 MW.
