NTPC to float tender to secure equipment for five 800-MW units

State-run NTPC would float the bulk tender order for securing equipment for five 800-MW units before March 2010.

"We would float bulk tenders for four to five units of 800-MW units before March 2010," CMD NTPC R S Sharma told reporters here.

NTPC recently floated tenders inviting bids for 11 units of 660 MW.
