Number26 seeks funds

Number26 GmbH is seeking funding to grow its mobile banking services as the start-up expands six additional European markets to win customers from established rivals, including Deutsche Bank AG and Banco Santander SA. Number26, which has about 80,000 clients in Germany and Austria served by a Wirecard AG bank account, has added its services in Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Slovakia. The firm raised $11 million in April, Bloomberg News said.

Masters committed to start-up
Former JPMorgan Chase & Co commodities chief Blythe Masters said she's committed to her current job at a financial start-up, Digital Asset Holding, after Reuters reported her former boss at the Wall Street firm approached her to run Barclays Plc's investment bank. Barclays' chief executive officer Jes Staley asked Masters about taking the position currently held by Tom King, the report said, citing a person familiar with the matter that it didn't name.
 
PlanetiQ to launch spacecraft
Colorado-based star-up PlanetiQ will launch its first two spacecraft on an Indian rocket. It signed a contract with Antrix Corp, commercial arm of Indian Space Research Organisation, to launch the pair of satellites in late 2016. The terms were not disclosed. PlanetiQ plans to build and operate a constellation of 12 miniature satellites that monitor GPS and other navigational radio signals passing through the earth's atmosphere, Reuters said.

Cymmetria hires Jim Christy
Computer security start-up Cymmetria has hired a retired computer forensics expert, Jim Christy, as vice-president of investigations and digital forensics. Christy started working this week at the start-up that targets the psychology of attackers, tricking them into revealing themselves.

PropertyGuru buys RumahDijual
PropertyGuru has acquired one of Indonesia's largest real estate portals, RumahDijual, for an undisclosed sum. It comes not long after the firm snapped up ePropertyTrack in July, following a $124 million investment in June from a consortium of three backers, including Emtek, one of Indonesia's largest media firms, Tech in Asia reported.
