Numeric Power to set up UPS unit in Mauritius

Chennai-based Numeric Power Systems Limited will expand its overseas operations by setting up a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) assembling facility in Mauritius, according to R Chellappan, managing director of the company.
 
Addressing a press conference here to announce the company being appointed as national distributor for Panasonic's SLA batteries, Chellappan said that the Mauritius facility would become functional by 16th of this month.
 
"We are selling 2.5 lakh UPS units in both the categories in the Mauritius region through our sales office. We expect a four-fold increase in our sales with this new facility," he added.
 
Besides seven manufacturing plants in India, Numeric Power has its overseas subsidiaries in Sri Lanka and Singapore.
 
Numeric Power caters to various segments of the market, including information technology, software, healthcare industry, banks and financial institutions, government projects and small-scale industry.
