NYSE Euronext today announced the appointment of Ronald Kent as its executive vice-president, head of international listings, for Asia, Europe, the Middle-East and Africa (EMEA).
Kent joins NYSE Euronext from Goldman Sachs where he served as managing director, an NYSE press release stated.
"Ronnie (Ronald Kent) understands very well the needs of our listings clients, having served as advisor to companies and their shareholders in the Americas, EMEA and Asia," NYSE Euronext Chief Executive Officer Duncan Niederauer said.
Over 20 years in investment banking, he has held senior positions in investment banking, global capital markets and institutional equities and derivatives businesses of Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Besides, Kent has been based in the US, Asia and Europe and advised corporate and government clients in both developed and emerging markets in these regions, the release said.
Prior to Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, Kent worked as a lawyer with the New York law firm of Sullivan and Cromwell.
