Ocimum Biosolutions, an integrated life-sciences solutions provider, has joined the BioIT Alliance in the quest to address the growing need for intelligent informatics solutions in the global life-sciences sector. Formed in 2006, the BioIT Alliance is a cross-industry group working to integrate science and technology in order to accelerate the pace of drug discovery and realise the potential of personalised medicine. Its founding members include Accelrys Software, Agilent Technologies, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Applied Biosystems, Discovery Biosciences Corporation, Geospiza, Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP, Illumina, InterKnowlogy, Microsoft Corporation and Sun Microsystems.
