Oil PSU officers threaten indefinite strike

 Oil Sector Officers Association (OSOA) said today that it had signed an MoU with the Petroleum Ministry on January 11, 2000 for the upward revision of wages with effect from January 1, 2002.

 "The MoU has not yet been implemented and we have no choice but to go on an idefinite strike," Ashok Singh, convenor of OSOA, said.

 OSOA is a representative body of all oil sector PSUs and claims to have a membership of 40,000-45,000 officers across the PSUs.
