ONGC FY06 net up 7% at Rs 15,398cr

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has posted a net profit of Rs 15397.63 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 14339 crore for FY05.

According to an official release issued to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 73417.77 crore for FY06 from Rs 61668.70 crore in FY05.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 3085.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 3797.66 crore for Q4FY05. Total income has decreased to Rs 12528.23 crore for Q4FY06 from Rs 12641.98 crore in Q4FY05.

The board has recommended final dividend of 200% (Rs 20 per share), over and above 250% (Rs 25 per share) already paid in December 2005.
