The Tripura unit of Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) has surpassed all targets of production and sale of gas and drilling of wells of nine months begining from April 1 last, official sources said.
The target gas production from April 1 to December 31 last was 368.805 Million Metric Standard Cubic Metre (MMSCM) in Tripura unit when the actual production was 421.038 MMSCM.
Whereas the target for sale of gas was 367.962 MMSCM, actually 420.060 MMSCM of gas was sold.
The target of drilling six wells was met and 120 reservoir operations against the target of 85 were carried out by the sub-surface team.
Besides, a new gas pool was discovered at Sundalbari in South Tripura district with huge reserve of gas, the sources said.
